Demolition is well underway with the latest reno project we are working on Bowral. So excited about this one, as it’s a delightful old timber cottage in a lovely historic area of Bowral, with so much potential. Great bones as they say, and thrilled that we have this wonderful home to update. So happy also to be back hands on for this project.
The front section of the house is late 1880s and there was a new extension added to the house about twenty years ago. The garden and block is level and in great condition, so we will just tweak that and make some minor improvements come the spring when it will go on the market.
The interiors needs updating and refreshing, so we are replacing the bathrooms, kitchen, laundry and redoing timber floors, adding carpet in the bedrooms, and giving the whole house a dash of modern country fabulousness with beautiful new lighting, lots of wallpaper, glorious tiles and wainscoting and so much more. It’s going to get the Melinda Hartwright Interiors treatment well and truly!
Tom has been back on the tools over the last two weeks, smashing down things, taking to the bathroom with a hammer, pulling out laundry and kitchen cabinets, selling things on Ebay we didn’t need and stripping timber walls. It’s been freezing here in the mornings too, very heavy frosts.
I will be starting up some videos on IGTV and Insta stories (as soon as I figure out how to do it!), so you can see what we are doing and follow the progress.
